A Sequence is defined as an ordered set of numbers. The length of a sequence is known as terms of the sequence,denoted as $a_{n}$. Sequence can be infinite and finite.

Infinite sequence is an infinite list of numbers of sequence which keeps on going forever.

Example: {1, 2, 3, 4, 5,.....}
{1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32,...}
{20, 25, 30, 35,....}

Finite sequence is a list of finite number of terms in a sequence.

Example: {1, 3, 5, 7}   
              {P, O, L, O}

Notations for a sequence are:

1. $x_{1}, x_{2}, x_{3},.....,x_{n},...$

2. $x_{n} (n = 1, 2, 3,...)$
